The DS3231 RTC (Real Time Clock) Module is a highly accurate timekeeping module designed for microcontroller and embedded system projects. Powered by the DS3231 RTC IC, it maintains precise time and date information with integrated temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) technology. This version is supplied without a backup battery, allowing users to install their preferred CR2032 battery separately if required.
The module communicates via the I2C interface, making it compatible with popular development boards such as Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, STM32, and other microcontrollers. It can track seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information, including leap-year compensation.
