The MQ-4 Natural Gas Sensor is a highly sensitive gas detection module designed to detect Methane (CH₄), Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and natural gas leaks. Built using a semiconductor sensing element, it provides fast response, reliable performance, and long operational life, making it ideal for gas leakage alarms, safety monitoring systems, and Arduino-based projects. The module offers both Analog and Digital outputs, allowing easy integration with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other development boards. The sensitivity threshold can be adjusted using the onboard potentiometer for customized detection levels. Detection range is typically between 200–10,000 ppm for methane and natural gas.
